To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Twin Towers Disaster, Chelsea Financial Services presents “Brothers in the Sky”, a beautiful tribute poem written by one of our Registered Reps, Rick Saltarelli and “The Story of Stronger”, a moving documentary and tribute song written by our Director of Marketing, Barry Lippold (Marc Ison).
“On August 16, 2001, I had my camera and took a photo of the Twin Towers from the ferry. I always called the Twin Towers “the brothers in the sky…” In the weeks following 9/11, while riding the NY Waterway ferry from Weehawken to Wall Street, where I worked at the time, a thousand thoughts ran through my head as we passed where these buildings once stood. I started jotting them down. Those scribblings evolved into a poem, which I titled “Brothers in the Sky”, and is dedicated to those who lost their lives, the families living without their loved ones, and the heroes who responded to help so that we will ‘Never Forget.’” Click here to read “Brothers in the Sky.”

“I had an appointment in WTC1 at 8:30am on September 11, 2001. Fate intervened and I was called the night before to change it to 9:30am. I went through the opposing emotions of “thankful” and “guilt” for a long time, in addition to trying to deal with the trauma of that day. I wrote the tribute song “Stronger” as a way to deal with the pain, and to try to bring rememberance and hope from that painful day. For the 20th Anniversary, I was asked to do a documentary of the making of the song and my experience that day and beyond, using the song as a thread throughout. We must always remember, stay united…Never forget.” Click “Watch on YouTube (above)” or here to see “The Story of Stronger“
